The soya milk my dietician told me to drink when first diagnosed with Coeliacs disease, Im allergic too.anyone else had problems with soya?
thx makes more sense...apparently I react to soya......so its lactofree milk....... I have had two years of hell every thing going straight through me.....after seeing numerous expert dieticians etc who all said 'SOYA' milk was ok.....lol
I used a soy based diet protein powder for 2 years, then started having problems, which turned out to be gluten...I did OK on the soy powder..(in fact, I lost about 40 lbs)......because of symptoms like malabsorption, I started eating nutrient rich, and later added Ensure High Protein drink...after 2 months of drinking this, I had a really bad reaction to the drink...I was driving and a half hour after drinking it, I suddenly lost conciousness...it caused an accident...luckliy I wasn't killed...but my car is trashed...this happened again 2 days later sitting at my computer, again after having this drink....I don't know if I am now sensitive to soy, it was a problem with the product, or just thisparticular pkg....I have reported it to the Food and Drug Association, and have eliminated soy, as I can't trust it now......
Maltodextrin can be found in most soya milks.
Having been diagnosed lactose intolerant last October I have tried Soya, Rice, Almond,Lacto free and virtually anything I can get my hands on that does not contain lactose, but all of these milks upset my bowel. If anyone knows a reason why, I would love to hear it. I am also gf.

I see there is now a Hemp milk, has anyone tried that ?
