I tend to cook the rice and millet whole grains together - I'm assuming that yours are rice and millet flakes. I have never tried the porridge version (that is to say in flakes) but at least rice and millet are safe grains and I should imagine they are quite nice with a dollop of honey or jam stirred into them.

Let us know what you think when you have tried them.

I used to eat them cooked with coconut milk and a banana . Cooking the banana in to sweeten.

It's not like oats at all, but pleasant enough to tide you over till your next order.

would have been happy to use it, but as been having type of IBS and triggered symptoms. Making good progress now. I used soya milk sodidnt expect discomfort. Fresh scipt done for oat porridge, ready mid week at chemist

I'd go back to the pharmacist and ask why I was given something other than what I asked for. And point out that just because it's food doesn't mean they get to choose what to give you.

Was told by gp I had to have what was on their updated system. Doesnt take PIP code. Also if not on couldnt have it. Not allowed to go through practice nurse. Anyway kindley chemist sorted it for me and have been presc., Nairns oats as chemist asked which I would like. Chemist got me wrong bread , at home it was extra dry and out of date mid month...she said its far too dry and put another scipt in. Not used much bread so have one left from last month dated 1st October that was real fresh

Was feeling bit lost how to decide as whatever I do seems to be wrong with one or other. So now going to shrug shoulders and not let it effect me, or if it does get over it. Like was supposed to be on emergency list for colonoscopy then 8ish mths later failed, 7mths later still no help or advice. thats sort of thing that happens to me. ( was that my fault ) unbelievable but true.

It would be worth finding out where the error happened - did the surgery put the wrong thing on the prescription, or did the pharmacy give you the wrong item?

I have had both in the past couple of months - whoever wrote up my request for Juvela goods decided I would have Glutafin instead and recently my Vit D tablets were lemon flavour, not tutti-frutti. Neither of these are life changing mistakes, but surely they shouldn't happen!!

mine changed was told manufacturer had discontinued by surgery, turned out not so as I asked chemist if any in stock. Seems surgery had made change.....maybe cheaper. Talking about calcius with vit B. So perhaps it wasnt mistake at all. Depends what the best deal is with medication for chemist and surgery, thats how it works. Not sure about bread, possible chemist takes what available at times from delivery folk.....they have a store depot, so if not ordered from main firm would give what they had available. Thats how bussines world works. Bread is bread to some, as are meds, nevermind the make. Your not supposed to mind. I am lucky to be prescribed Nairns oats thanks to chemist. Cheers.
