Have you ever wondered if your multivitamin delivers what it promises? Me too....This guide could be useful.
Thanks for posting. I'd just like to add that as always - people should consult with their GP before taking vitamins/ minerals as some can have an adverse effect. Many deficiencies from coeliac disease e.g. low iron / VitD, B12 will require prescription strength dosage to actually bring coeliacs up to the 'healthy' range. So always have a chat with your GP before taking any.
Just a suggestion to those people who have never read it before - but here are the NHS guide lines for taking vitamins and getting vitamins via food and other means. It is well worth a read especially if you have never taken vitamins before or perhaps have been taking them all your life. It is always a good idea to keep abreast of current views and information regarding health issues that may affect you.

You will find that if you are a certain age it is recommended that you take those as specified - example "people aged 65 and over should take vitamin D supplements"
It is well worth reading this pdf because it explains all about most of the popular supplements that people are currently taking. It also advises which ones to avoid if a person is taking a particular prescribed medicine - so if you are taking any prescription drugs for any complaint either long standing or even just in the short term - please check the guide before continuing to take supplements as some can cause problems with breathing or additional thinning of the blood.
Good posting - I have always worked on the basis that getting a balanced diet is a more effective means of getting vitamins. Its not difficult either.
