so... I decided to go ahead with the gluten challenge for three week before my scheduled endocoscopy tomorrow... it has been TOrture, I am sooo miserable, I cannot rememebr what I did 5 minutes ago, I have an itchy rash all over my arms and legs and things just get worse from there! and this morning the gi office called to ay they talked with my neurologist who told them I was diagnosed with sa seizure disorder (I was unaware of this) and they would need to take extra precautions and so cancelled my endocscopy for tomoroow.. I can not do this again.. I cant... I was all ready to go.. then at the last minute its not happening !!!! seriously I feel like I want to jump off a bridge...I took a blood test today I d tont know if 3 weeks on gluten afer 15 yers of a gf diet will be enough to give m accurate result ... but.. if it comes out positive.. I m not doing this again... but I just truly need to know , I just need to know, and so if it comes out negative I am face with having to do this al over again!!!!!!!!

Hi well poor you and you've proved that you have a bad reaction to gluten. I'm a diagnosed coeliac and I couldn't do a gluten challenge so don't beat yourself.

I think its rotten that your appt was cancelled and can see your frustration so of course you're upset as you've been ingesting a toxin so obviously feel the effects.

I'd stop eating gluten and enjoy feeling better and see how the blood test goes.

And good luck,

Jerry.

So sorry this has happened and can understand your frustration. I only ate gluten for 3 weeks before my endoscopy butthey were able to diagnose coeliac from this. You have gone so far can you not stay on gluten a little longer and tell the doctors how you are feeling and can they speed up your endoscopy appointment. Worth a try. Let us know how you get on. Thinking of you with big hug ☺☺

Oh that is awful, but I need to ask you, what are you trying to prove? What are you putting yourself through all this torture? You know you cannot eat gluten so just stay off it. Simple! Sometimes we get so caught up in going for tests because it is the doctors that have to "prove it". Forget about them.

Just go GF and get yourself together and start getting well. That is all you need to be doing right now.
