Normally a TTGA result of over 10 indicates probable coeliacs disease but they will then advise an endoscopy to check the villi & then a definitive diagnosis will be given.

Yes, as above, the diagnosis is confirmed by examination, under microscope, of a biopsy taken from your duodenum to examine damage which is caused by gluten w

which damages and erodes the villi.

Hi nettynoono, the others are spot on and yours is way over.

Now its important to keep eating gluten until you've had a biopsy. its a steep learning curve at first, but you're in good company on here so well done for joining us.

thank you all for the replies, I actually had biopses done first but there seemed to be confusion between my doctor and my gp and as usual I am the last to know anything😢 have just been diagnosed with under active thyroid as well, so my poor body has taken a battering. I have an appointment with dietitian next week so I'm sure I will get some good info from them too. Thanks again for the replies 😁
