Hi Jill, I'm sorry you've all this going on at the moment.

I think that you need to get your self down to your Dr's surgery and have some tests done as It could be so many things but as something inside your body had changed now's the time to find out what. Many coeliac also suffer from diabetes so I'd make sure that your Dr knows this.

And good luck

Hi jill121

I agree with Jerry's comments - my first thought when reading your post was to wonder if you had been checked for diabetes lately.

My second thought was that it could be a side effect of one of the medications you are currently taking.

Either way, a trip to the doctors does sound like a very good idea.

Generally speaking, too much sugar in ones diet is always a bad idea and it is no different for coeliac's. In my very limited understanding; it's bad for gut health and puts extra stress on the adrenal glands. I speak from personal experience when I say that overworked adrenal glands will make you feel very down and fatigued.

Good luck figuring it out. Hope you feel better soon.

My wife had all these symptoms and it turned out it was the depression tablets that were causing the sweating. May be worth asking your doctor? All the best. Grayson.

Agree with all of the above you certainly need to see your GP. Apart from that look on a website run by Micki Rose called purehealth and also a book The Paleo approach by Sarah Ballyntyne & related website paleomom, for me both have been invaluable in helping me to sort out my food issues...Unfortunately my GP could only help me so far, the rest I had to work out for myself, hugely helped by the above. Good luck

Hi, I'd agree with virgolizzy it will take a number of factors to work out what best suits you. Nutrition is a huge area and somewhere I have focussed. After all, what you put into your body greatly affects it. The pain in the hips may be helped by some gentle exercise. Hydrotherapy is fantastic and you can certainly do your own in a swimming pool or seek a physio who can help. Exercise will help the depression, pain and fatigue. It would be worth thinking about what type of exercise appeals to you and taking one step at a time. I'm assuming you've been avoiding exercise because of the pain as this is so common so please accept an apology if this is not the case.

Take care

Also in agreement with Virgolizzy. Definitely talk to yourdoctor but in the meanwhile, you can check out thepaleomom.com for a list of gluten cross reactive foods, and try cutting those out. Cut out sugar and processed foods too, and consider adding nutrient dense foods. Depression can also be your body's signal that it's not getting the fuels it needs. Your brain needs cholesterol (ie eggs) and healthy fat (olive oil, coconut oil, avocados, butter). Good luck.

I am coeliac, dairy intolerant and also on depression tabs. I don't know what other people think but maybe you need to be tested for diabetes as excessive thirst can be a sign also check out this link nhs.uk/conditions/Sjogrens-... which is about Sjogrens syndrome which a lot of coeliacs have including my mum. Hope you feel better soon :)

Hi Jill have a read of the leaflets that come with your tablets. Anti depressants cut the amount of saliva you produce so you can get a very dry mouth and throat. I am on one for chronic pain and I have to have polos and chewing gum with me to encourage saliva secretion. Sweating is a well known side effect of anti depressants. Best to go have a chat with your doctor. Good luck
