After experiencing a couple of long haul flights where despite requesting a gf meal it has not materialised, Thompson holidays have provided me with the number of their welfare team (0871 230 0204). If you contact them at least three days before the date of travel they will guarantee you will have the appropriate meal. Hope this helps others planning for long haul flights or indeed any flight where a meal is included.
