Hi Imstillstandin,

Welcome to the club, the most important thing you can do at the moment is stay positive, keep your brain working, cut out all unnecessary sugar - which feeds cancer cells and include blueberries, pecan nuts and turmeric spice in your diet which have anti-cancer properties.

I was diagnosed with my grade 4 GBM brain tumour in May 2010, so know that a high grade brain tumour tumour diagnosis can mean 'change of life, not end of life'.

If you look at some of my past postings you will hopefully find useful advice.

One thing to consider before you start your treatment, is having a break away somewhere, which is something my wife suggested. Our break was a one week barge holiday, which enabled us to just get on enjoying life.

If you have any questions, please ask away.

Stay positive, concentrate on living your life in the best possible way, spend some time resting after the surgery, and plan for a positive future ahead of you.

I kept my brain working before and after my surgery by reading, doing crosswords, listening to music and playing the game on my mobile phone, when I couldn't sleep due to steroids.

Kind regards,

Tansi 🙂
