DVLA visual fields pre test

Good morning all, as my first post many thanks for the great advice received on this forum. Open angle Glaucoma in right eye since 2015 with left eye recently diagnosed I subsequently informed DVLA with a requirement for a visual fields test at Specsavers.

Following the recent advice on this forum regarding relaxation, familiarisation etc I booked a pre test at my local branch at Bracknell. I have to say the staff were excellent, from making me feel at ease, describing the test itself and also the Humphrey equipment , all for £10.

I was allowed several tests glasses on and off which was really helpful along with prints provided and results emailed to me.

I took the actual test on Saturday and found I wasn’t at all anxious due to the advice given, efficiency score 98 now waiting for letter. I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Hi, that's great advice, thank you. Was your DVLA test booked in at your Specsavers branch before you did the pre test. Thanks.

Morning, explained to the branch I would like to book a pre test whilst waiting for the DVLA letter. Bracknell branch were happy to do this just asked me to arrange around midday when not as busy.

I booked my actual test for the last Saturday appointment 4.30 which was the quietest slot.

Found out that you can also ask for test results to be emailed as well as printed, could be useful if contacting DVLA. Regards.
