I suffer from glaucoma and find sunshine and even bright days a problem due to glare. Could you please advise me the best sunglasses to get.

sunglasses for glare
I started to have issues indoors in bright rooms as well as outside, so I switched to reactolite lenses. They’ve worked well for me. Sadly, as far as I know they haven’t invented reactolite contact lenses, so I have to wear glasses most of the time now.
RNIB website - they sell amber sunglasses - some will fit over normal specs - and they are the very best for glare...I wear them as sun glasses all summer. Only around £23 a pair
Thats brilliant. I've been looking where to buy those..I wear my prescription sunglasses everytime I step outdoors, unless it's really dull/dark.
I'm trying my best to slow the progression of the cataract in my only sighted eye...🤞
The amber sharpens things up...I offer to oeople to try them and they aways say wow! I could see things out at sea that my husnand couldn't - til he tried them!
I wear overglasses all the time as my eyes are very sebsitive to glare, sunshine abd bright light. Cocoons are the best. I have three ir four shades for different kight conditions. They are much comfier than the RNIB ones. They are cheaper if you get them through a low sight charity. I get them through Insight in Cheltenham. In really strong sunlight I wear glacier sunglasses…made by Izipizi xx
Glare is the worst enemy of Glaucoma sufferers. I also find that neon lighting in super markets difficult to deal with. I use a pair of prescription glasses with a flip up sun glass. I got them from boots and they are worn by cyclists who need the protection of sunglasses but at the same time stop to read a map. Also, for everyday wear I have varifocals with a progressive lens. Hope this helps you.
