Hello. I have a diagnosis of angle closure glaucoma. It has been treated with laser and drops and lens replacement in my right eye. My left eye was diagnosed latterly, when I sought a second opinion on treatment options, as narrow angle glaucoma. I have been advised the best treatment is lens replacement surgery as in my case laser treament was only parly sucessful.. In my case I probably lived with narrow angles without knowing it until the angle closed completely and pressure shot up. The main thing is your NAG has been picked up and they will want to monitor you and treat your condition if its glaucoma I assume you have some optic nerve damage. My vision is badly affected but mostly because COVID delayed my diagnosis and I didn't recognise symptoms. The main take home message is its possible to live well with the condition. There is a lot of support out there ( the RNIB are fab and glaucoma UK webinars are very helpful) However, you do need to seek help if you get symptoms such as eye pain, blurry vision, halos round lights, severe headaches etc. Wishing you the best

I was diagnosed with bilateral closed angle glaucoma just over ten years ago. I've had laser treatment in both eyes and both lenses changed to reduce the pressures. I'm still driving and had my licence extended by another five years last year. I'm now becoming aware that I've lost some peripheral vision, but can see perfectly ahead of me. I regularly take my eye drops morning and evening without fail. I know my condition is progressive and there's no cure. But I always follow the advice of my consultant, always attend my biannual check ups and keep putting in the eye drops. This way I'm sure I've been able to reduce the progress of my Glaucoma. The treatments are there to delay its progress. I wish you well.
