Hi, did anyone have Pigments dispersion in eye and tried SLT before? My left eye dispersed a lot pigments due to ICL lens rubbing against my iris before this.

Now it’s removed but a lot pigments clogged my trabecular mesh work so my iop is high. Then one of my consultant advised not to go for SLT as might have opposite effect which the IOP might go higher if do SLT as there is cases similar to mine and reports showed does not work.

Please share your experiences. Well appreciated🙏🏻

Hello - I have Pigment Dispersion and have had SLT laser 3 times. Most recently with Gus Gazzard the chief investigator of the light study. Due to the chance of pressure spike one angle in each eye was done on one day and the 2nd angle on a separate appoint x time later, without looking it up, I think it was a couple of weeks. The first 2 times where only one angle was lasered were not as effective for me as the most recent time when both were done. My lenses are still in place and the pigment dispersion continues, however the laser and subsequent drops have so far enabled me not to need more invasive surgeries which I am pleased about. I am not medical but a question I would be asking is with my lense removed and therefore I assume the cause of the pigment dispersion gone, surely the risks of a pressure spike decrease?

I met 2 consultants advised not to go for SLT for pigment dispersion issues patient. Recent one consultant in Singapore advised me to go for Hydrus Microstent. And she told me she did a lot on pigment dispersion client and it works well.

What lens you removed? I removed my ICL lens 2 months back. Hopefully the pigments dispersion will stop soon. I have consulted uveitis specialist in Malaysia and she informed that the pigments will stop disperse itself after few months at least even I have removed the lens. (Somethings that I can’t verify it since I can’t see it By my own eye😅)
