Rollercoasters ?

Hi all. I may be worrying about nothing but it’s a tradition that we go to Blackpool pleasure beach once a year with the same friends and spend the day playing on the rollercoasters. We’ve not been since covid and my acute issues with high IOP. My IOP spikes up past 40 on a regular basis and I have my first trab scheduled for 21st of this month. The weekend is coming up and I am wondering if I should just watch this time….. any knowledge or experience gratefully received

Hi Hazel. Good to know your real name! I cant answer your question but I guess going upside down isnt a good thing. I remember my husband riding the Pepsi Max there years ago and I being a complete coward watched from the ground!! It looked horrific. I understand your concerns. Maybe ride the tea cup and carousel instead lol x

Hi Hazel.

Good advice has already been given and I think as your operation is very close, I would give the upside down rides a miss. No one for definite would be able to say exactly, how this would affect your pressure but it would be awful if it did increase and your trabeculectomy was delayed. I hope you still have a lovely time.
