Hi everyone it’s me again. Negative Nancy. I went to work today and forgot to take my eye drops in with me. I meant to put them in at 7am every morning. I didn’t finish work until 10.30am. I did come home and put them straight in at round about 11ish but I’m so worried now. I’ve never done this before.

Hello. No need to worry. You have now put the drops in. If it was a regular occurrence then yes, I would be more worried. You can now relax and continue your day.

I’ve done it! It’s even worse is when you can’t recall if you’ve done the drop or not. Then you can’t put it in and fret all day that you’ve completely missed a drop. It’s happened in busy times, when I’m running on autopilot. I have an app now that reminds me and I tick off when done which really helps.

Your ok mate. Everyone misses the odd dose and you didn’t even completely miss it. This is a slow progression condition . You’ll feel calmer soon. But you know it also ok to have a wobble . We all do . Xx

Thankyou so much for messaging. If it’s a slow progression disease does it mean will go blind because obviously it won’t stop x

Hi Julie I've done that too.... I've had a really lovely day and felt normal again... gone to bed... just going to sleep then I remember I haven't taken my eye drops... I was thinking about you yesterday, what is going on... do you still have to wait for 6 weeks before seeing a specialist... I don't know why they did not do your other eye based on a slight raise in pressure in your lasered eye... it does not make sense. what was the pressure in your both eyes... last time it was 28 and they did the laser... it seems like cost cutting to me. I would definitely get a 2nd opinion... and what are they giving you for the raised pressure. take care valfrance

Hi valfrance sorry for late reply I was panicking that I had forgot to take the drops but I’m ok now Thankyou. With regards to my laser I’m slightly confused why he wouldn’t do the other one. He said that my pressure in the lasered eye was 20 and he was not happy it hadn’t gone lower. The eye that hadn’t been lasered was 26 and he said seeing has the laser had only got it down to 20 we have to presume it hasn’t worked. So he sent me away with my ordinary drops I’ve always been on didn’t even look at my eyes. Just the nurse who done an eye test and pressure test and that was. Every patient was told he was running late that morning and my appointment was 9.15am I got to see him at 12.30. I felt I was on a coveyerbelt. I spoke to the hospital and said 6 weeks will be fine. I’ve not even had a letter through for another appointment. I’m calling again has I don’t want anxiety taking over. Thankyou for messaging. I hope everything is good with you x
