living 2 minutes away from the countryside were I can walk my dogs is now more enjoyable now considering I now have optical nerve damage and I now take in more of what's is around me even when the daylight is getting shorter, its made me think a bit more of what's around me as often we take things for granted, it does make a difference.
Have a good day everyone

Your post was really positive and I'm glad you are making the most of your surroundings and enjoying walking your dogs in the countryside. Walking my dog Lu in the woods, fields and on the beaches where I live is one of my favourite things . I love the way all the leaves on the trees are changing colour now and how many berries are on the Rowan trees, although that's meant to mean a harsh winter !!! My day has been great, I hope yours has been too.
The only thing missing walking my dogs is the rustling of the sea but I’ll make do with peace and country side surroundings especially as the autumn colours change the landscape etc
Bless you I know exactly what you mean. We live in a wonderful world yet so often we get overwhelmed by all of the negative goings on, if only there was more positive news and appreciation of just what we have at our fingertips. I don’t have a dog for company or to walk however I look at in wonder at the birds which visit my bird table and the amazing variety of shades of green which fill my garden. Nature teaches us so much and gives us so much, we just need to take the time to appreciate what is around us. I look at everything with such a passion now x
The simple things in life are actually free however hard that might seem in the modern world we live in,to be appreciated by the many but not so by the few, even eyesight we have can sometimes deteriorate and mine has but to live with that can take on a new or different meaning on how to cope with what’s around, like colours, shades of colour, objects and shapes,it’s still rewarding to have that in place.
