Deep anterior chamber

Hi does anyone know if a deep anterior chamber that’s quiet a good thing. Thankyou

Hi

From what I understand talking to my doctor's deep and quiet is how the eye should be.

It looks as if a shallow anterior chamber could put people more at risk of angle closure glaucoma. Deep from what I understand is a positive.

'quiet' eyes I beleive are a good thing, it means you have no inflamation in the eye.

I am not a medical professional and am basing this on the answers I have had from my consultants.

No problem - I have been seeing Glaucoma specialists for nearly a decade now, but a variety of other eye issues for over two decades

Its currently under control thanks, but I am due a Glaucoma op at some point in the future.

I try and remain positive and do what I can to focus on things within my control to give myself a fighting change against this disease.

I have learned (probably the hard way) to leave my diagnosis up to the pro's, its good to be informed but conversely easy to get fixated on your medical stats, everyone is different physiologically - as one consultant told me - no number of hours of google research can compare against years worth of clinical experience!

I try my absolute best to follow the advice of my doctors, and am religious with my eye drops and the advice given.

I also try and lead a healthy lifestyle as much as possible. Eat a balanced diet, eating foods that are known to be good for the eye (these coincide with foods that seem to be good for you generally). I try and exercise regularly (there is a link between aerobic exercise and lower pressure) walking daily for at least an hour is my aim.

It maybe worth considering taking care of your mental health also, a paper was recently published that seemed to link lower pressure with mindful meditation.

The fact you are being seen and monitored by the docs is great as they can adjust treatment depending on your circumstances.
