Apparently as from April there is to be a new NHS Scheme in England for people with inflammatory Arthritis, called getting the right treatment,at the right time, which recognises the need for early treatment in this disease, plus for osteoporosis and fractures the same need including prevention of falls.

interesting research on falling because of weaker leg muscles needs to be elaborated. remedial measures to avoid falling and trying safer falls/ stories or study cases are welcome for practical knowledge and safety measures.

Have been busy sorry for delay in reply, in my town we have a special fall rehab team. The council also supply Booklets about preventing falls in the home.I myself have a lot of grab rails round the home, wear none slip sole shoes. Avoid using stepladders, however I'm told you can get ladders with stabalisers on. Sitting down to do things can prevent muscle fatigue. I have a bed lever for support when you move out of bed, that's my experience. But I still have had falls and have the scars to prove it as they say.
