My girlfriend was diagnosed with conversation disorder a year ago, thankfully she is much better, having doing 30 sessions of tms, did a petscan and doing and everything resulted normal. The one thing that I'm wondering is anyone gets really low blood pressure and nothing seems work. Doctor suggested more salt, but not really helpful. Anyone gets the same please.

Low blood pressure and Fnd
Hi there Yes I was having low blood pressure, it seems ok at the moment thou but it's on and off
Yes, I've always had low blood pressure even beforeI had FND. In fact the only time I've had my blood pressure taken and it wasn't low was when I was pregnant. I add salt to my diet, which seems to reduce the big dips where I get really faint, but essentially it seems to have a mind of it's own. Sorry not to be more helpful. Would be interested to hear if you find a solution please 🙂
Hi yes, I get Low Blood Pressure which affects my brain and muscles. I was told to maintain a good level of hydration daily and personally I have noticed the Air Pressure is a big contributor to this problem, under 1000 mb barometric pressure is bad and high humidity also affects me. Air Temperature sudden shifts can be an issue, try and maintain an even temperature and that means less demand on the circulation system too.
Nothing seems to prevent these Low Blood Pressure attacks, as I say good hydration and trying to keep up a medium level of activity does help shorten the effects a bit. Certain medications of course can affect blood pressure, so for example; I find Paracetamol increases my blood pressure as well.
Be kind to yourselves, look for the calm in the storm
Sounds like your partner has orthostatic hypotension so get checked for pots. Highly recommend a tilt table test. Compression stockings and pink himyalayan salt. If that doesnt work fludrocortisone 0.1 to start, midodrine there-after? in my experience should help. You need to tell your neuro to do an active stand test. U should note that perhaps your partner might have cerebral hypotension from the low bp causing these pseudo seizure events. Do research and hammer it out with your neuro. Is it REALLY fnd.....
