Post exercise twitching.....anyone else feel increased twitching/jerks/spasms after voluntary movements?

I make myself go for a daily walk. I use my stick and I can honestly say it's not always pretty. But I'm fairly steady with my voluntary movements now. So when I stop and I sit down for a minute or even while standing, if I stop the twitching begins.

It seems that if I can put a pattern in place for the muscles (walking for instance) I have severely reduced involuntary movements. But once I relax, well, sadly my body beats to a different drum. One that I have no control over.

This isn't seizure level twitching but intense momentary jerks...sometimes the same jerk five or six times in a row. Other times it's a leg or an arm, maybe a combination of limbs....you never know.

The twitching seems to amplify with the intensity of my exercise. The more I do... the more I feel the twitching. Though I can wake up bad some days without any movement. And I really have to say the word twitching is not quite strong enough to fully express the experience.

I know I have to keep moving because I don't dare lose that skill. Now I won't see the neuro until July. Still no Physio as the hospital is locked down. I just didn't know if anyone else was experiencing or maybe had experienced something similar. I hope I'm not messing myself up, but I don't think continuing to move is a bad thing. I really hate the twitching.

Blessings to all.

I get the same particularly after pushing it a bit, I do light weights after walking, biking, or 30 min on rebounder & my muscles for lack of a better word get very shakey & random twitching in parts.

Yes, I think exercise is good for any chronic illness (which what we have is). It’s also beneficial for memory, the brain, and every other part. Keep on walking, just don’t push it beyond comfort level for that day. I find some days I’m stronger to keep it up & others fatigued, so I go lighter. Great job on staying active;)
