Sorry to hear you have FND , it's not nice at all it took me a year to get my head round it there was so much going on I was having new symptoms all the time . I'm 3 a bit years in now with my FND I had to go to a hospital appointment to have a splint for my right foot cause I have a bad gait they need to try and straighten my foot.

Therapy talk is good that helped me also you would probably need counselling and physiotherapy, plus a good neurologist good luck x

good morning and thank you for the response. tremors seem to be the order of the day for me. this began very suddenly after a nap back in august. one med does seem to help control the tremors, but does not eliminate them completely.

i am wondering what the possibility is that FND could stem from exposures that I was subject to during my gulf war tours into southwest asia. exposures to things such as ddt, anthrax vaccines, burn pits, white phosphorous and uranium. does anyone here have any knowledge in regards to this?

It could well be as they said mine was down to trauma and stress, do you have a neuropsychiatric if so they should tell you

I can't say that Ihave read anything that specifically connects those chemical components to fnd. However everything is topsy-turvy in this world, and I don't think there's anyone out there that can tell you for absolute positive yes it is or no it's not. Even the research articles and supposed experts can't even decide whether this is a rare or common issue.

It sounds like you had lots of chemical exposure. I'm gonna vote for an absolutle sure.
