Any try keto for FND relief?

Hi,

I’m curious to know if anyone tried ketosis for FND relief as some new research is pointing to an excess of glutamates in the limbic area of our brains...and keto over time balances the glutamate/gaba ratio in the brain. My special needs son is gaining ground in development, so I thought about trying it for a few months. The issue is I have a dairy & coconut allergy that would make it quite challenging to undertake.

And I’m already on the small side, don’t want to lose any weight on it either.

I’ve been doing keto for almost two years now and I swear by it. I’ve had a 95% reduction of seizures which has relieved a lot of my other symptoms ( nausea, fatigue) I’m not 100%, I still have neurological symptoms but they aren’t impacting my life like they use to, I feel like i have my life back on track and I’m independent. And I’ve achieved things I never thought I could do even when I was healthy. If you get on it please keep me posted, im curious...

I’m planning on it after reading Dr. Dale Bresedehan’s (sp?) book as I’m also APOE4 carrier. I’ll definitely keep you posted, I’m hopeful at returning to my previous state of FND remission in 2017 or at least closer. Awesome story, thanks for replying. Gives me the motivation I need!
