Hi Helen, welcome, I have FND, am always cold, hands and feet and head, unable to walk far and many other symptoms. On this website like me you can look through and see all or most symptoms of everyone on here are the same or alike. Also it's helped me to realise I'm not alone not as I was before finding this website. People on here are just so helpful, understanding, and live their days like me. Loneliness and lack of help from professionals, the negativity you receive from professionals is astounding. No empathy no caring and just left. This website has been a godsend for me, I hope it can help you and your daughter as much too. Best wishes, Lisa-Anne. 🤗

Hi

Thank you so much for your reply, certainly will be looking and posting.

Thank you again x

Heli65.

Hello Helen.

Your daughter has symptoms coincident with what have seen on this site for FND. I have seen postings from folks with ME and am just beginning to study and try and comprehend that diagnosis. She is very young which so distressed me. My daughter began symptoms of FND around age 22. How long was it before your daughter received the ME diagnosis?

I have the FND diagnosis with symptoms for 23 years. Well familiar with the ice cold extremities. Gait impairment is big problem particularly with how far able to walk. Does she require use of canes or walkers?

I am most interested in numbness on one side. For me, that became neuropathy which is permanent nerve damage. Mine is systemic but I note many people have issues on one side and some specify their left side in particular.

Apologies for asking questions but it helps us understand as there are a myriad of neurologic issues that we face and onset can be simultaneous which can be frightening.

Please know we welcome any concerns you want to share and will provide support to you and your daughter in as caring manner possible. I find the people on this site to be incredible resources and show tremendous courage in fighting through these struggles. They are compassionate and giving beyond my own belief.

It is a sanctuary to come to when the concerns become overwhelming.

Will assist any way possible. Please know that many people from all walks of life are affected. My best to you both.

Keep you in thoughts and prayers.

Dan / Seattle
