Thanks for posting. We need to get this out there. The author makes some excellent points. I find it ironic that my neuropsychiatrist insists that FND is purely psychological, but the 2 psychologists I saw were convinced my problem is neurological, not psychological. One even worked with PNES patients in the epilepsy unit at the hospital, so he knew what he was talking about. It's time this Freudian nonsense is put to bed, especially the incredibly damaging primary/secondary gain theory. Nothing but losses here.
