I find pretty much any bright lights/loud sounds affect me now. I especially hate the new lightbulbs. I had a weird hallucination in my friend's kitchen once, because she had all these annoying potlights. It was like my vision shattered and turned into rainbows, but just on the left side. My neurologist was baffled. I also collapsed at work when they changed the lighting there. Ironically, I worked for an electricity company!

Hi Headache 24. I find that ambulance lights and any bright lights especially if they flash or turn on and off repeatedly aggravate my symptoms. Night driving has become harder especially when traffic is heavier and the opposing lane is close (divided highway is better). Speed of vehicles matters too. I get a headache when my condition is "acute." Currently I've had a headache 24/7 since mid August. The last time my headache lasted to 18 months. I feel like my brain cannot sort out the movement of the lights and that it "freezes" or stops because it cannot sort out all the movement that quickly.
