Hi,
Wondering if I can persuade myself to take abiraterone for recently confirmed mcrpc. Looking to maybe use range bounded adaptive ther.
Has anyone whoexperimented with this and can help.
Looking for the best way to proceed.
Thanks and good luck

Ricky - I bounced through this site several weeks back, but somehow missed the Advanced PCa group. I'll let the website explain what it is all about, but our departed BAT advocate Russ Hollyer is there. This link should be of special interest, as it is Gatenby talking about their trial using dosage reduction with Abi.

I'm also linking a BAT patient review by Gatenby that you may fine useful in thinking about that as a possible next treatment. (I realize that will be more difficult for you in the UK, but some of these guys might have some workarounds.)

Anyway, searching this resource may point to some new treatment doors you are not aware of. Good Luck and keep us posted.

PS - Hat tip to Marnie46 for reminding me of the linked website.
When I started my "Bicalutamide Maneuvers" experiment, 18 months ago, I hadn't heard anything about Gatenby et al and their work. It was the obvious thing for me to do after admitting BCR. As an engineer I knew that OFF-ON loop control was a thing of the past (well before my time). Consequently, proportional or linear control, that I elected, was a no-brainer.
seems demonstrably better than continuous. I would go for range bound over continuous. Could you get PSAs from a private lab?
Here is the link to Range-bound abiraterone trial (50%drop to stop, return to baseline to restart). Assume you have seen this but posting for others.
Can you self order tests in the UK? You can in most US states.

Edit: looks like you can self-order: bloodtestslondon.com/blogs/...
