Zyflamend Prostate

Has anyone any experience of using Zyflamend Prostate? As well as my PCa, I have an enlarged prostate that causes me big peeing problems, especially at night with a very slow flow. I saw mention of this as a good supplement to help my symptoms and a search online seems to suggest it's effective with few SE.

Thanks for any info you may have.

One of my early on MOs suggested Zyflamend and I’ve taken it for years. No SEs but it does not help with urine flow at all. For that, like many others, I take tamsulosin. There is another drug I can’t remember the name of that TA recommends instead of tamsulosin that may work better to improve urin flow.

Thanks, I tried tamsulosin but it gave me constant heart arrhythmias so I had to stop it after a week or so. I thought 'Zyflamend Prostate' was supposed to shrink the prostate. If not, what does it help with? The other drugs are 5α-reductase inhibitors such as finasteride.

I never heard of Zyflamend Prostate until your post. I’ve always taken Zyflamend because of my then MOs recommendation and because it contains ingredients that seem to be generally good for one’s health, i.e., turmeric, ginger and a bunch of other stuff. I see it advertises that it’s good for prostate health. Doesn’t help me there cause my prostate was zapped early on.

I've ordered some and will report back on it's effectiveness.

I just found what Tall Allen has suggested instead of tamsulosin. It’s called Rapaflo (silodosin)

Thanks 63, I'll look into that.

I read about Zyflamend about two years ago. Did not like the price so I looked up the ingredients and ordered those from various distributors. The resultant combination, along with about 40 other ingredients from aloe vera to zinc have not shown any remarkable improvement but I am gleason(sp) 5+4. Now have added zeolyte and macrophage activating factor-- basically a micro-organism loaded yogurt with oleic acid and D3. In two weeks I will take a PSA.... I still have a few avenues left before I abandon all hope.

Thanks En-ki. Was that 'Zyflamend' (original) or 'Zyflamend Prostate' - they are different products with some different ingredients. My problem is I have an enlarged prostate as well as the PCa so peeing at night is a real struggle. Zyflamend Prostate is purported to shrink an enlarged prostate and so alleviate the problems. Time will tell.

Tried something called Flowmax years ago when I still had a prostate... It helped.

Thanks Shooter. I'm currently alternating between Tamsulosin and Zyflamend and will see how it goes. Tamsulosin is really effective but I find continuous use gives me heart arrhythmias.
