Would be good to be able to detect PCa at yearly physical before it gets a chance to progress - via normal blood lab workup.

Thanks for posting...I can not help but wonder if this was around 2 years ago, if I would have been diagnosed 8 months earlier... would I have avoided sepsis post biopsy and possibly dodged Stage 4... The Science is indeed Coming !!! This is great news... The Golden Age of Medicine is arriving soon... I watch in wonder and amazement !!!

Howz that??
Hope you are planning on treating yourself and the lovely lady to a South Florida Holiday Early Bird Special Feast with all the "fixins"! Take Care & Be Well - Capt'n K9
PS. Did you ever hear of the whereabouts of Gus?? Hopefully, he is still hanging tough and living large on a steady diet of Nal's Famous Gator Blood Extract.
Thanks for posting that, Cujoe. I have grown to accept my “stage IV at 50” diagnosis since it really lets me appreciate life and the good things that have come. But, man, if I could have had a diagnosis at stage I when I was (likely) 45, I would definitely also accept turning back time! This technology could be someday a step in the right direction for early screening of ALL men of all ages and levels of health care access. Dougnola. ✌️
I'm in Raleigh tonight for a T'Day holiday with my good NE friend & old college/work mate. His mom and brother live here (Cary) and Mom still does the full dinner spread at 92 years young. Pretty amazing, as she insists on doing all the cooking and prep herself. If I'm lucky enough to make it to anywhere near 92, I'll be happy to just be able to make it to the table!
Congrats on the great labs and Good Luck with the "vacation". I know I have really enjoyed my 24-month-&-counting one. Its really what I wish for all PCa patients who go thru ADT+; i.e., to get a vacation and recover normal T levels again. It is very much like that old Joni Mitchell lyric:
"Don't it always seem to go . . .That you don't know what you've got Till it's gone"
Let everyone know if you hear anything about Gus. (I'm sure you will.) And be sure to express all our thanks to Patrick for his tireless research postings and for sharing his vast knowledge in all things related to PCa with the rest of us.
Shalom Back At You - Be Well - cuJOE
I think we are all 100% with you on that sentiment, Doug.
Your beloved Saints marched to a close final second win tonight - so, the glasses of sports fans in NOLA are more that half full. (Well, actually probably all completely empty by now?, but you know what I mean.)
You & Lee have a nice holiday. Stay Strong & Be Well - cuJoe
For those of us who have had radiation treatment, this could be very very important. We are all much more susceptible to bowel and bladder cancer.
"The test will be used to detect gastric, esophageal, lung, liver, biliary tract, pancreatic, bowel, ovarian, prostate, bladder and breast cancers as well as sarcoma and glioma."
