Hi Jayney7

I'm assuming you mean morphine? My GP gave me Butrans patches instead, fentanyl (morphine) were a definite no in her book.

The Butrans patches are effective for me, but we are all different and they don't suit everyone.

Wishing you as pain free a day as you can have.

Give them a few days sweetheart, takes a little while to settle down. Is your pain localised ? Can you place where it is?

Yes can understand this as I have Osteo arthritis in feet, shoulders, hands, both hips, and degenerative disc disease in spine.

For me, and again , I stress that we are all different, and react to different things, the osteo needs warmth, like Capsaicin cream and heat pads and the fibro does better with cooling stuff like biofreeze gel. I've learned over the years to differentiate between the two conditions, but don't always get it right!

Yes it hard to and plus what's what of which pain as this as all came in year do can get confused of what's coursing which pain if that makes sense xx

Absolutely makes sense to me, I tend to look at it that if its a joint its osteo, if its anywhere else, its fibro. Trouble is it doesnt always follow, its a rule of thumb i s'pose, like I say, I don't always get it right!
