I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing this horrendous problem, and I genuinely and sincerely hope that you can find the answers that you are looking for.

I would discuss this with your GP or Medical Specialist just to have other issues ruled out and see what can be done about it? I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

Al my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi there. My skin never stops burning, right now it is worse in my upper arms and back. I find that i can get it any where or every where and apart from the soles of my feet i find that i can live with it, its a case of having to.

I keep out of the sun as much as poss and stick my feet in cold water when they are bad.

It feels very strange to feel your skin burning while you are shivering with cold and you skin feel icy to touch. it s like being an arctic roll and bed time is a problem Arms in or out of the quilt? Niether is comfortable and i always keep a fan at the bottom of the bed.

I hope that yours is not too bad and you can find something to ease it.

Hi there, it was this symptom that sent me to my GP! I remember thinking "How will I describe to him what it feels like?" All I could say was it was "like a chinese burn", and I don't think he understood that phrase at all. You had to have been at school in the 50's 60's to experience that! Anyone want to try it out? Get someone to put both hands closed around your forearm, then ask them to turn each hand in the opposite direction. Instant painful burning sensation! Well my GP did send for a full blood count, and discovered I had low B12. I am on regular injections now, and some of the burning is reduced, but I know that if it is untreated for too long ,the nerve damage can be permanent. So ask for a blood test for B12, folate and ferritin. Good luck with everything. MariLiz
