need support *sensitive* I had my test day today and it came back negative but then bloods has come back positive? Anyone relate?

well what a whirlwind of a day!! So took my urine test today this morning showed only one line so negative, so went in for my bloods and they have come back as a positive pregnancy?

So obviously I’m ecstatic as I thought negative (so sure you can imagine) then now being told that was a false negative and bloods are saying positive, has this happened to anyone else or anyone had this experience or similar as now I’m obviously over the moon!! But am also like is it true? Am I actually?? In a state of disbelief as of what happened on urine test, anyone who can help or relate to this id be very thankful xxxx

Might be your urine was not concentrated enough to be pick up by the test But good news about the blood test Take care of yourself and good wishes for the future !

Wow, what a turn around, I bet you are all over the place. Id trust the blood test - I’ve read that they pick up hgc levels before uribr tests! Could you maybe get a FRER test and try with tomorrow’s first wee? X

Do you think that would work, I’m obviously all over the place yes as I was dealing with a negative then boom positive then I’m like how do I bloody feel is any of it true?? Think it’s just mind overthinking on me x

Do another clear blue in the morning x

I would definitely take another urine test, you deserve to see those two lines! The faulty test made you feel awful I’m sure! Congratulations and all the best! X

Massive congrats!!!!! Same happened to me! Urin tests are useless; my clinic does not accept them at all and always requires blood tests and exact levels as you must check if beta has doubled after 48h. I had a positive Beta a month ago so bough a urin test for my own enjoyment of seeing the double lines for the first time in my live and keep it as a souvenir and it was negative (5h after giving blood sample). No way on earth my beta would have dropped by then even if it was a chemical. Went for the 48h beta recheck and levels were through the roof - faintest positive ever on a urin test, looked like evap line. I finally got a souvenir worthy BFP on day 4 after by blood test. Honestly, I'm really surprised that any clinic would ever rely on a bit of wee on stick as a confirmation whether thousands of pounds worth meds and procedures have worked😅massive congrats and enjoy your great news!

Thank you so much for sharing your story and experience makes me feel so much better that it’s not just me, as you can imagine seeing that negative at first your just defeated and then to hear bloods are positive I was in shock and just didn’t know what to believe but I want to obviously believe the positive!! Xx

I'd definitely do Frer test. I find they pick up the earlest. like others have said you deserve to see those two pink lines. Huge congratulation xx

Bloodwork is more accurate. Seems like you got your BFP from bloodwork! Wishing you the best. x

Thanks so much for posting this and huge congratulations!!!!!. I have moved to a new clinic and they flatly refuse to let me do a hcg blood test even though I am paying for it! This is my 6th transfer and as you can imagine a very anxious time, my OTD is Friday. I'm very concerned the urine test will show a false negative, then I will be told to stop my meds by the clinic and it will force my period to come and I lose a pregnancy (if there was one). I know there are usually no symptoms so early on to indicate pregnancy so I've nothing to challenge my clinic on but it's making me very upset. My previous clinic always allowed me to do a blood test. I'm going to try to speak to my gp to see if they can support but it's all very frustrating.

Speak to GP for HCG blood test and explain the stress/anxiety caused, etc. Most are pretty good and will do it for you 😊 good luck x

I can completely understand where you are! I dreaded the test day and when it showed that what I’m normally used to seeing I was just so upset and defeated just mind went everywhere, then went in to do bloods and then heard later in the day the bloods were positive I couldn’t believe it and just didn’t know how to feel then! I was all over the place like which is it? So hard when urine test do t work and you rely on them so much! It’s cruel really is to do that to someone, I hope you get it sorted my lovely and you get the result that you deserve 🤗 xxx

You can get your Beta checked through any private clinic that has them on offer, it doesn't have to be yours. There are loads of places that do them privately. It's ridiculous your clinic is not allowing you to do a test, even though you want to pay for it, what's wrong with them! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending rainbow dust🤞🌈💐

What was the hcg level on the blood test? Like others have said you'll need to check it's rising properly, or lines on tests are getting stronger? If you get a FRER (or cheapie but early detection) you should see a line. What day are you post transfer? Wishing you all the best, the rollercoaster never seems to end!!

Hi, they say over the phone that they normally look for anything over 30 and mine was 100 so I’m thinking that’s pretty accurate right? Then I did do the pregnancy test this morning and guys I got my two lines 🥹🥰 I am so over the moon and just can’t believe the turmoil up to it but I’m sooooo happy and just floating on air like is this real?? I’m deciding yes it is!! I’m so elated and thank you all lovely ladies for your support you’re all amazing!! X

This is definitely good news. I don't know what day you are on. Some have faint positives early on and some take longer to get enough HCG for the POS. Fingers crossed your levels continue to rise x
