Short protocol this week anyone?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else is starting their new/next IVF treatment this week? I’m due to start my 4th round this weekend, it will be my first try on the short protocol and wondered if anyone else was on a similar schedule.

Short protocol is completely new for me, but I’m excited and optimistic and sending lots of positive thoughts out to all of you currently in treatment xx

I started my second short protocol egg collection last Sat. Got my third scan tomorrow. I’ve never done a long protocol - had a good response last time with short protocol and hoping for something similar again. There is so much waiting around with IVF but I do like how once you start a short protocol it does move pretty quickly! Am hoping for egg collection a week today.

How did your scan go? That’s good to hear, that the time difference makes it a little easier, long protocol really took its toll on me. Finger crossed for you xxxx

I am not doing a round currently but just wanted to say heaps of luck! Moving from long to short protocol made SUCH a difference for me in terms of egg numbers and quality, AND it happens so quickly in comparison to long protocol it was really refreshing and felt like I was being heaps more proactive! Hope its the same for you! x

thank you so much, I appreciate it. I’m hoping for better quality, it’s always been my issue with the long protocol but I never really know what my body will do from one cycle to the next! Hers hoping it works better for me xx

wishing you lots of baby dust, my short protocol is currently having his afternoon nap ❤️ I found the short protocol not to bad at all, seemed to go really quickly had a scan day 8. Was then booked in for egg collection a few days later then 5 or 6 days later I had the embryo popped in.

hi Lisa…I’ve just started short protocol for the first time. First injection today of Fostimon 300. Final scan on the 14th.

yes ok thank you. My scan is Monday too and if ok…egg collection will be Wednesday 16th…nerve wracking x
