My wifes egg collection done. 22 eggs. Hoping for some good blastocysts 🤞🏻

She’s on fyremadel injections to help prevent OHSS

Any tips for her to prevent this ?x

Excellent! Fingers crossed for you. Drink 3 litres of water a day and eat lots of protein - that's what I was told. Good luck x

I ended up with OHSS after 30 eggs collected (7 embryos in the end). I was told to drink 3L of water but then ended up with too much fluid around my kidneys and abdomen, was hospitalised and consultant in hospital changed this to electrolytes and advised this in the future instead. I would recommend drinking electrolytes rather than plain water.

Oh wow that sounds so awful. I hope my wife doesn't get this How are you feeling now, are you fully recovered?

When did your symptoms start after your retrieval?

So far she seems ok. She was a bit crampy this morning and felt a little nauseas but she says she's ok xx

I put on 6kg of fluid, was severely vomiting and very bloated. I'm sure if she were to get it, it would have shown itself by now. Fingers crossed her symptoms stop where they are I feel better than ever now, 3 weeks on and back to exercising like before. I felt totally better after a week!
