*Sensitive* Looking for advice. Is mild back ache and ‘period pain’ normal in early pregnancy ?

I am 10dp5dt after my 3rd transfer ( 1 fail , 1 chemical previously ) and have got a strong positive on a FRER which I am over the moon about.

BUT I was sure my period was coming, and still have mild period type cramping , I keep running to the loo expecting my period to have started - is this normal for early pregnancy ?

I have miscarried twice before , and I am super anxious as I don’t remember feeling any cramps or back ache the last two times I have been pregnant

Thank you in advance

Xxx

Hi lovely, I think this is super common for early pregnancy - everything is stretching and moving in to place. Try not to worry. Congratulations on your BFP! xx

Hi Loz, I’ve had period like cramps my entire pregnancy a few times a day lasting up to one minute only. I tell the midwife regularly and she always confirms cramps are normal as things are moving around. But, if it is severe pain, constant pain, or accompanied by other symptoms like bleeding, vomiting, fever- you need to be checked on. Best of luck xx

Hi LozTC. My advice would be to keep up with any prescribed medication, even if it could be that causing the backache. Have a rest when you can, and test on the day recommended by your clinic. Good luck! Diane

It was for me. I mentioned it to the clinic and they said that it sounded like everything was going well! It stopped for me around week 5, but I'm expecting it to reappear as things start stretching again.

Congratulations 👏

Yep, I've always had both symptoms when pregnant. The only time it was much less was with my Chemical. Good luck 🤞🏻

'Period' pain has been my main pregnancy symptom throughout. I've spoken to the midwife about it so many times. I sometimes forget I'm pregnant (even though I'm 35 weeks and massive!) As I go on auto drive that my Period is coming and I should get chocolate and a hot water bottle ready, but then remember no hot water bottles for me!

I know its impossible but try to not worry and enjoy your BFP! Congratulations! Xx
