So this is my 6th IVF transfer and apart from an ectopic, I’ve never seen a second line.
I know it’s early days and I’m so so scared of Having a CP. are there any success stories from testing positive early? I’m so scared the line is going to disappear.
Thanks

I know it’s so hard. But try and wait until test day. The trigger injection is a really big dose of hCG which is the same hormone the pregnancy test tests for. So at 5dpt, it’s likely the test is picking up the trigger shot. If your little embie has implanted, at 5 days, it won’t be producing enough hCG to test positive yet. So that line is likely to fade even if you are BFP. Just hang on in there 🤞🤞.
No offense but you dont know if that line will disappear? I had a very strong line at 7dpt so I would have had a faint positive at 5dpt, and I know ladies who have had them earlier. If this is her 6th transfer I'm sure she would be aware of the HCG trigger...she could have had an FET. Best of luck to you elly hope that line gets stronger over the coming days 😁😘💖
Go get yourself some FRERs that line will look even stronger, and they are better for seeing progression 😁 will be looking out for more updates very exciting hun! 😘💖 xx
Hi, was this a frozen transfer of fresh cycle? I've just been through a frozen cycle and now pregnant with twins, the earliest I tested is 10dpt. I would recommend testing again in a few days as it will take that long for the hormones fi be stronger. Mine still werent really strong at 10dpt and that's with two but then it kept getting darker every few days. Good luck and if it helps I listened to IVF transfer meditation music on YouTube at night before bed to completely relax myself, that helped allot. Xx
Thanks Sully. It was a fresh transfer. I tested again this morning and it was much fainter than yesterday’s test. I know it’s not trigger because I was negative for a few days before yesterday. I’m hoping that it was just a bad test. I’m going to wait now and test in a few days save torturing myself.
This was me on day 5 after an fet, my line came back faint and I kept testing until OTD, and it kept getting darker, I am now 15+2 pregnant with twins. I wish you all the best Elly, and I will say congratulations
Congratulations. I tested again this morning and it’s super faint again! This is what it was like with an ectopic. I’m just hoping it’s because it’s early days and it will start getting darker 🤞🏻
Thats a very good line for 5dp and i hope it gets stronger. I always test from 6 dp and had a line fresh and fet. I do recommend with these tests to test with afternoon urine as my afternoon ones were always stronger x goodluck hun xxx
Do you think afternoon tests can be stronger? I tested yesterday morning and it was super faint, yesterday afternoon it was the one in the picture and then I tested this morning and there’s barely a line. 😢 thanks for your comment x
I would use a frer you get a clearer answer! I’m terrible for testing to I always start from day 5 even tho I promise myself I won’t! The only time I managed to hold out till day 7 was when I got my bfp! Hopefully it will be good news for you 🤞xx
I think that’s a good positive for 5dp! I got a similar positive 5dp5dt and am now 7 weeks with twins! Stay as positive as you can!! I agree with Mimi that my afternoon tests were always darker also (I used FRER). Sending positive thoughts your way!!
Thanks for your positive post. I’m hoping you’re right and an afternoon test will be stronger. Me and hubby are going out for dinner tonight so I’m going to take a break from testing and try again Thursday 🤞🏻 X
I would get a better quality test and test again - I had a really faint line for days on cheap tests (that looked like the one in the photo) and really convinced myself that it was another chemical pregnancy but the line was much stronger on a better quality test (and the suspected CP is now 4 months old and napping in his crib )
A quick update - I’m 10dp5dt and got pregnant on a clear blue digital. I’m 25% happy and 75% freaked out about it being a chemical or ectopic but I guess that’s everyone’s fears. Thanks for your comments and support everyone. Let’s see what the next few weeks bring x
