Advice please on minor changes in smear results..

So I got the results of my smear test today and it showed minor changes and I have to go back in 6 months to get another one done. My hope is now shattered as I'm pretty sure I know the answer to my following question..but..does that mean it's putting our referral to the fertility clinic to even further down the list...or worse....take us off the list all together until I get a smear that's all clear?

It might be quite likely that your treatment will be delayed until your smear comes back clear, at my clinic one of the conditions of you going ahead with treatment was that you had an up to date smear. I know it’s disheartening but you want this sorting before commencing treatment as you don’t want anything hindering the success - I doubt they’ll take u off this list - it might be worth contacting your clinic and explaining what’s happening x

I was at the doctors today getting my first lot of bloods taken as requested from the fertility clinic. I'll call them and mention it and see where it takes me. I really really hope it doesn't take me off the list!!

I think this will be your individual clinics decision but it doesnt necessarily meant that they wont treat. Lots of ladies get "minor changes" and get put on regular monitoring and never require treatment as these things can rectify themselves. I would give your clinic a ring as there is no point in stressing out when nobody can say definatively but your clinic! Good luck!xx
