Hey they made me feel a bit high! And if I took them too close to bed time I couldn't sleep.

Are you taking them with food?

I would definitely take them with food as they can irritate the lining of the stomach. I prescribe them for my patients all the time although in a completely different setting to ivf and I tell them not to take them after lunchtime due to insomnia issues. X

Hi Persian40. Hope you do OK with the prednisolone. All I would say, is to wean off the drug at the end of treatment, as it can make you feel quite rough for a few days. Hope all goes well for you. Diane

Thanks. Yes I think the clinic have a wean off protocol.

Graet! That's good to hear, as I have known some poorly people for a few days following abrupt treatment. Doesn't harm them, but not nice. Good luck with it all. Diane

2 of my cycles I took them and was okish apart from heartburn and insomnia even though I took them in the morning, however think the whole ivf process gives me insomnia with the overthinking! 3rd cycle they really effected me, and think they heighten whatever mood your in. My SIL told me on day 2 of my 2ww she was pregnant and did a test at my house, it crushed me and I felt so low after and couldn't stop crying. I didn't take them on my 4th cycle, but will have to take them again with any further treatments which I'm dreading now 😬xx

Thank you. Yes, I agree about the mood aspect. I really hope this cycle is positive for you. Do you mind me asking why you didn't take them on your last cycle but will now take them again? Xx

If you look on my previous posts there's one all about the steriods and what I was advised by the specialists on Tommys miscarriage clinic. I am hopefully going to be starting again soon, but this time with DE, and they've advised because it will all be new, with higher quality embryos they want me to give it the best shot from the beginning so will be on the steroids and clexane, which I do understand where they are coming from. Just hope I'm feeling good about it all at the time! Xx
