Had 2nd scan and were alot more folicols than there was on 1st , few at 17mm / 19mm so take booster tonight then in for retrieval wed

Hi, I had scan today and have grown 5 follicles since Thursday so there is now a total of 16, I am also in on Wednesday for egg retrieval. I am feeling very nervous. Which clinic are you at if you dont mind me asking? xxx

Yeah I was just at the Nuffield this morning. They got 5 eggs so I now need to call them at 10.30am to find out how many have fertilised. All the staff there were lovely. Make sure you get a sandwich after the procedure. I had the prawn mayo and avocado on brown bread and it was yummy after my fast. Bet you wouldn't get that if they weren't using the private hospital!! Best of luck xx

How u feeling was it sore , am getting nervous a have to be there for 7.30 , how long did u need stay after it ? Xx

I'm feeling fine now. I don't remember a thing about the procedure because the sedation really knocks you out. I was a bit sore afterwards, like bad period pain, but you can get codeine if you need it for pain afterwards. I ended up taking a tramadol when I got home and that took the edge off it. I had to get there for 7.30 too and was 3rd on the list so it was 9.30 by the time I got taken into theatre, but it was over in 15 minutes and we got out of there about 12.30 xx

You and your bloke get a private room and you can just sit on the chair or lie on the bed. My fiance had to go and give his sample before I ended up getting called into theatre.

There are TVs in the rooms there, but the one in my room was broken so maybe take an ipad or magazine or something to keep busy as it is nerve wracking. You'll be fine though. Hope it all goes well for you xxx

Probably Friday if its a day 3 transfer, but I'll know more tomorrow. Feeling so pleased they got an egg out of every follicle, as I didn't have many and I didn't think it would have gone this well for me as I was very ill earlier this year and have a low AMH. But I'm trying not to get too excited at each stage because there's always another hurdle to get over. Fingers crossed for you xx

That's same me a had around 10 folicols so hopefully get few eggs , but that's good suppose for me 10 with low Amh , xx

That's very good for your AMH. You are getting more stimulation that me though because my AMH is just a wee bit higher than yours. At the end of the day though its about the quality. Some people get loads of eggs, but they are low quality so the number doesn't matter as much. My sister in law had a low AMH, got 6 eggs, 4 fertilised and was told they were really good quality. She got a 5 day transfer and it worked first time for them xx
