Ive got my trigger shot tonight then drug free thurs and having eggs collected on fri.. i was wondering what the trigger inject does??
I think the trigger shot tells the follicles to release the eggs.... So they can be collected. Good luck!

hi sum1sweeta, the trigger shot matures the eggs, and have to be collected at 37hours of the injection before it releases the eggs. if the the follicles release the eggs then they cannot be collected. how was ur journey with the medications. i am still waiting for the 3d sis scan, this seems forever.

Erm ive been up and down with my emotions will the meds but found the injecting part the easiest..i was on stims for 14 days in total..have they not give u a date for your scan hun xx
It is a long process.. my partner has a very low sperm count aswell he has 2 frozen samples as a back up who knows if they wud servive on the day...try not to worry to much as im sure they will find what they need from a fresh sample on your egg collection day.. cud you ask if they would freeze your eggs just in case? Also they can take is sperm direct from his testes. Hope ur scan apt goes well x
hi sum1sweeta, the scan went great. and they did dummy embryo transfer process, that went well aswell. thay had frozen 7 samples of hubby, but they said that sperm did not survive the thawing process. so they will go with the fresh sample on the day of the egg collection. and freezing the eggs, as my ovarian reserve are low there might not be enough eggs to freeze. i was told that i should call them on the first day of my April period and they will give me an appointment to get the prescription and also train us to do the injections.so keep my fingers crossed..... and goodluck with ur collection and the transfer.
Hi. Well its good news the dummy run went well and that your partner can use a fresh sample.. you never know how many eggs you will get. But you only need that one egg..try and keep postive and i bet you cant wait to start after april.. best of look to you.. keep us posted x

I got a phone call and 8 have fertilised pheww i can breathe now lol.. im having them transfered on weds.. x
