I am one week into my first IVF/ICSI cycle, Does the Buserelin definitely work even if you have very little side effects, just feel unsure.

Hi

Welcome to the crazy world of IVF!

I remember how mind boggling everything is at first and at every stage, you're unsure of what will happen - how you will feel physically and emotionally.

The good news is that everyone is different! I, like you, never really felt much different on Buserelin, and in my last donor cycle, I was in it for 6 weeks before I moved onto the next stage and still felt almost no side effects, so please don't worry!

I know lots of ladies like us who don't get any, and others who do. Some get tired or have headaches but there really is no right or wrong way to feel, especially in the early stages.

Good luck with your cycle

Xx

Hi Danielle, apart from some tiredness I didnt experience any side effects either so I was nervous when it came to the first scan. Turns out I was reacting just how they wanted then by the time it came to egg transfer I developed OHSS. Also, they can adjust the level of hormone hence why you have a few scans to monitor. Positive thoughts x

Don't worry. Down regulation (when you only take Buserelin) is usually easier than stimulation. In a few weeks, you will miss the easy days!
