hi im not sure but my guess is to see if there are any infections such as urinary or sti's etc.. my thoughts to this are that my partner was told in our meeting with the consultant is that his number of sperm has been effect with his present water infection, (hes getting infections on and off due to kindney stones) he was perscribed antibotics for 12 weeks which he has to complete whilst waiting for our ivf information meeting. i hope this helps.. but i would ask your consultant to be sure.

Thank you for your reply, I hope your ivf meeting goes well

Hi Bone

A urine test is usually requested to check for STD’s such as Chlamydia. Also for any other infection, presence of protein and urinary sugar. Hope all goes well for you both. Kind regards Diane
