Hiya, what day are they transferring?

I'm 38 and had transferred 11 days ago. I left it up to the embryologist and professor to decide, they know best. I had a 5 day blastocyst.

Good luck

Hi Sazzleton, many thanks for your advice.

The eggs collection was last Friday (05/07/13), so it should be Day 3 transfer. I will definitely see what the embryologist and my doctor say this afternoon and make a decision there and then.

Good luck for your cycle, only a day or so that you will get the result?!! Hope all our dreams will come true...

Hi. I was advised by my clinic as I was over 35 to go with two embryos, but I am sure your embryologist and doctor will give you some advice this afternoon. Best of luck! I am currently on the waiting period after my second cycle and I had two embryos transferred both the last and this time. I am hoping at least one has taken hold and is growing.

I was told the women over 40 are allowed to get 3 embryos transferred. So I was struggling on the thoughts of putting 3 or 2 back in. I wanted to increase the chance of the success, but at the same time, I am worried about the risk of multiple pregnancy.

How is your waiting period going? Hope it works for you this cycle. Please keep us posted. Best of luck!! x

Hi. Only just read your post. Hopefully all went well with the transfer. From experience, I find that women over the age of 38yrs quite often get offered a 2 embryo transfer, especially, if they have had a previous failed cycle. All the best, and I do hope it all goes well for y9ou both. Kind regards Diane

Hi, many thanks for your answer. I was rushing to finish my lunch at work before going in to the transfer when I read your post. And it did calm me down and put a smile on my face. :) x

Hiya

How did it go today?

Thank God, we didn't need to make the decision of putting 3 or 2 embryos back. There was one didn't split. But the other two split into one 7 cells and one 8 cells embryos. Both of them were grade 1. Without hesitation, we decided to put both of them back in. We also used as much extra help we could to maximise the chance by using 'Assisted Zona Hatching' and 'EmbryoGlue'.

Now I am looking at this little ultrasound picture of my womb and a little white dot in it and wishing them to stay here, feel like home and keep growing.

How are you holding on with the wait? Please keep us posted. All the best! xxx

It sounds like it went well - I wish you all the best of luck. I hope the next couple of weeks go well and quickly! As I get closer to my test date I am feeling very anxious but I am trying to stay calm and positive. Keep us posted with how you get on. Xx
