Hello Abbie103, unfortunately unless your work has a specific policy on this then there is no automatic right to time off for these appointments (aside from using holidays). I didn't want to tell my work I was having IVF but I did tell them that I was seeing a consultant at the hospital for some investigations and that I would be going in for a procedure so would need some time off for that and a follow up.
Thankfully my work were really good and didn't ask any more questions! I know others have been honest and some people have just got a doctors line for a week or two and stayed off. Most work places seem pretty reasonable (although there are one or two horror stories out there!).
My clinic did give me my scan appointments early in the morning to avoid being out of the office too long so you could ask them to do that. Plus, you could always tell your work you will work through lunch or make time up at the end of the day which is a happy medium.
