I was wondering what is the difference between a Ultrasound and a fibroscan.

Fibroscan is a specialized ultrasound that measures liver stiffness and fat content. It doesn't make images of the tissues the way a traditional machine does. Normal ultrasound doesn't measure fibrosis so they give different kinds of information.
