I have not voted as the pandemic made no difference to me…in January 2020 I had a health wake up call…hypertension, type 2 diabetes and hypothyroid. I started LCHF and IF and started walking regularly. I was a midwife working 3 days a week.

I’m now nearly 3.5 stone lighter, my diabetic bloods are in the normal range and I now run twice a week.

Pandemic or not…I needed to do this, so I did.

I think a lot of us are in a similar place to LottieMW . I started my first long fast as the pandemic was looming. It was after a dinner party, and I remember walking in, and kissing everyone I knew in the room - then there was a pause and someone asked "should we have done that?"

So fasting and pandemic have gone hand in hand for me. Lockdown (no restaurants or dinner invites) has helped me stick to LCHF, but I don't know it has impacted on fasting. And though I weigh less than I did when it started, I'd already lost 13kg by then, so the last few would have happened anyway.

The pandemic has been with us for so long, it's like water....

There are these two young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, “Morning, boys. How’s the water?” And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, “What the hell is water?”

I will vote, as it's a nice census of members of this group!
