For 'other': anyone who has a poor diet and may see "fasting" as the answer to their prayers; anyone who is already under-eating and not losing weight; teenagers who want to get thin by starving instead of by eating healthily; probably people with other mental health difficulties e.g. OCD

The biggest cause of weight loss failure in hunger. Encouraging someone who has been over-eating to follow such a strict regime is setting them up to fail, and putting them on yet another yo-yo cycle of eat/starve/eat.

Hi there, IndigoBlue and BridgeGirl, firstly F&F is to promote fasting safely no one is saying that someone with an eating disorder should fast.

Fasting can be a fantastic way to get in tune with our bodies needs and if undertaken sensibly and well thought out like WebMistress then it is undoubtedly a wonderful tool.

So I think you are confusing a badly thought out starvation diet when the person already lacks vital micro nutrients because of a poor diet when of course they will crash and burn.

Like it or not fasting is a valuable aid to living a better life leading to a sense of well being and a sensible weight for the faster.

F&F advocates sensible fasting full stop. 😊

Thanks for your input @IndigoBlue and BridgeGirl . In the starter information I shall make it clear that if weight loss is the goal, then a fasting method which does not lead to hunger is the best type. Thanks :)

Hi Stoozie this is another great poll I can't keep up with you, so well done you as this is a very important point. 😊
