Is there anyone who recovered from synkinesis after bells palsy ????

I never recovered past the initial rewiring from the synkinesis, but I tried using botox therapy for a year and a half. It temporarily helped with some asymmetries, but after I stopped they returned back to how they were before. Kinda sucks a bit, but I wasn't much of a fan getting injections in my eyelid =P

I did consider facial retraining, but my doctor said that years after the onset would be hard work with probably few results.

Surgery I'd rather avoid. There's always risk involved, and I'd be worried at making it worse. But my sykinesis isn't so bad that it bothers me enough, so it depends how you feel about it I suppose. I got Bell's Palsy when I was 14 which is now 15 Years ago, so I had to learn to just accept my new face =P
