I had Bells Palsy about 10 years ago now, I never fully recovered I could also notice my eye dropping in photos, when tired or if I had a drink. My eye also closes when I smile. Didn't get any treatment at the time, nobody knew what to do. Lately though I have noticed my eye twitching another more than normal and I feel like I have less control over the affected side of my face than before. I'm getting really worried 😓. Can anyone offer any advice?

So sorry have been in similar situation. Get your gp to refer you to the Bell's palsy research unit in Oxford. I am now having treatment both for my eye and facial asymmetry. The consultant has been fantastic. Google John Radcliffe hospital cosmetic surgery. Best wishes

Check with the Facial Palsy Uk they may be able to guide you. They suggested the BP research unit. Try and do some Google.

Best wishes

If you send an email to support@facialpalsy.org.uk we can connect you with other people trying to get better services for people in Northern Ireland.

Hook up with a neurologist at a local hospital. He or she may be able either to help you or to point you in the right direction.

I'm in Northern Ireland and haven't heard of anywhere that deals with the after effects of Bells Palsy. I also didn't recover fully, eye shuts when I smile.

Start a search by having a consultation with a neurologist at a nearby hospital.

Get to hospital under reference and be diagnosed. I was told it could be Bells Palsy or Shingles both treated different. So get the diagnosis and then start. Good luck
