My friend told me at the weekend that her dad always asks her "What are your wins today?" when they chat. I thought it was such a lovely way to help her frame things in a way that shows that no matter how bad the day, there is always something in there that can be taken as a "win".
It could be getting a "well done" from your boss or your partner or a friend.
It could be helping someone out and knowing you've made their day better.
It could be asking for help if that is something you find difficult.
It could be moving towards your goal, or even staying motivated even when you haven't been able to progress.
My win today is that despite a very poor night's sleep, I got up and went for a brisk walk before breakfast to start the day. I really feel the difference in my focus, mood and energy levels afterwards.
