My 5 year old was disimpacted over Easter but he is still soiling. How long after, do they stop soiling?

It depends on if you disimpacted fully. Are you encouraging regular toilet sits after every meal?what dose of medication are they currently on?
Hi. My son was the same. Fully disimpacted but still soiling. He was eventually seen by the GP who confirmed he wasn’t impacted anymore. Started on an additional medicine Senna, which encourages the muscles to work. We’ve had some progress with this. Even a whole week with (relatively) clean pants! But it fluctuates. GP has said to take the two medications but tinker with the doses as all children are different. I would speak to the GP if you can. It made a huge difference to me and my stress levels which must make it better for my son.
Good luck.
