My daughter is 7 years old and today had an ultrasound on her kidneys and bladder. The consultant said she has thickening on her bladder. Does anyone else's children have this and how have they been treated. She is constantly getting utis and he suggested the two are linked. Thank you.

My 6 year old son is under investigation for a suspected overactive bladder. He has never shown symptoms of a UTI, and always tests negative for them. However his bladder wall is thickened on a recent US scan. Unfortunately awaiting referral to a paediatric urologist for more info (this scan was arranged by the GP). So sorry I can't help, but I got the impression a thickened bladder wall is not uncommon in children with daytime wetting.
